REGISTRATION OF PERSONS REGULATIONS - REGULATION 16

Duty to return identity card for cancellation

Upon the death of a person to whom an identity card was issued his identity
card shall cease to be valid and the person in possession of his card shall
deliver it within 30 days after the date of the death to the
registration officer for cancellation. The registration officer may, if the
person who delivered the identity card so requires, return it to such person
within 14 days of its cancellation. (L.N. 158 of 1973; L.N. 178 of 1987)
